This script will tell you if the information you enter is correct to connect to your Database.  During installation many users are convinced they are putting in the correct details but it's an error in Joomla installation that is preventing the connection.  By entering the details in to this script the user can check the details directly to the server.

Also has correct paths for /tmp and logs files in the configuration.php file for

Joomla 1.5.x

and

Joomla 1.6.x

Remember to remove the script from the server after use !!!
